Garden Paint & Create is a relaxed morning of creativity in a beautiful outdoor spot at the West Lynn Gardens in West Auckland.

When: Sunday 18th January 9:30am - 12 noon.

Designed for women who want some relaxing & creative time out, you’ll learn a few simple one-stroke techniques for petals and leaves, paint at your own pace, and go home with your own finished canvas.

No experience needed — it’s guided, gentle, and completely beginner-friendly.

Whether you’re a total beginner, coming solo, meeting friends, or just needing some time out for yourself, this creative session is designed to be calm, relaxing, and enjoyable. If you like simple step-by-step guidance and a friendly vibe, you’ll fit right in.

You’ll be creating one of Mellie’s signature floral canvases — taught in a simplified, relaxed way so there’s plenty of time to enjoy the process. We’ll cover simple one-stroke leaves and petals, and you’ll build your finished piece step-by-step.

No pressure, no perfection — just a creative experience and your own artwork to take home.

You don’t need to bring anything — all the art materials you’ll need are provided and ready to go. I’ll have aprons available too, though it’s still a good idea not to wear your very best clothes, just in case a little paint escapes the brush.

You’re welcome to BYO snacks or drinks to enjoy while you paint. Light refreshments will be available.

Most importantly, come with an open mind and a gentle attitude toward yourself. This session is all about relaxing, getting creative, and enjoying the moment — not perfection.

This is an outdoor event and is weather-dependent. While we’re hoping for beautiful January summer weather, if rain or unsuitable conditions are forecast, the session will be postponed to a new date.

If the event is postponed due to weather, you may choose one of the following:
1. Simply attend on the rescheduled date
2. Transfer your ticket to another Art with Mellie event
3. Request a refund if the new date does not work for you

Refund requests must be made within 3 days of the new date being announced.

Tickets are non-refundable, as all canvases and materials are prepared in advance.

Bookings close 14th January so I can prepare everything needed.

If you can’t attend, your ticket can be transferred to another person or a future event.
